Trehaverne by-election announced
A Truro City Council by-election has been announced in Trehaverne Ward, to be held on 5th December. This is a result of the resignation of Cllr Joe Taylor, who is going to concentrate on his charity work. (See further details of Joe's resignation here.) Fortunately, we have a good prospective candidate in Bridget Andrews, who is a nurse at Treliske.
The Conservatives are hoping to take this seat from us, so we are going to fight it as hard as we can. This by-election will also serve as a good grounding in our battle to retake Truro & Falmouth for the Liberal Democrats in 2015.
