Statement from Truro & Falmouth Liberal Democrats on Councillor Dulcie Tudor

CRP
27 Jul 2020

This morning Cllr Dulcie Tudor resigned from the Liberal Democrat Group on both Cornwall County Council and Truro City Council.

For many months now we have been working with Cllr Tudor with regards to her ongoing dispute with Cornwall Council over their decision to ask her to apologise over statements made last year in an interview regarding Cornish Nationalism.

Whilst we are disappointed today to lose one of our most valued Councillors we understand and support Cllr Tudor wholeheartedly in her decision and we appreciate the difficulty making it has been for her.

We are delighted that Cllr Tudor has decided to stay on as a Councillor and therefore able to carry on her valuable work in her constituency.

We wish Cllr Tudor all the best moving forward.

Councillor Rod Pascoe
Chairman
Truro and Falmouth Liberal Democrats
