Lib Dems on Cornwall Council have provided over £273million to businesses which have fallen through the gaps for support. Lib Dems on Cornwall Council are continuing to lobby the government for further funding.

Lib Dem Deputy Leader of Cornwall Council, Adam Paynter:

"We are working to ensure hard-working small businesses in Cornwall are not falling through the gaps in Covid-19 support. We've seen many of our small businesses struggling so we're delighted that we are top in the country for supporting our residents.

"Cornwall Council was singled out by the Chancellor during a live TV announcement for praise for its support for small businesses impacted by Covid-19. Cornwall has one of the highest percentages of small businesses in the UK, it's important that we continue to fight for the hardest hit by the Coronavirus pandemic."
