TEVERSON WINS MEETING WITH TOP HOSPITAL MANAGERS

Prospective MP, Terrye Teverson, has won a meeting the RCHT Chair and top management to discuss the unfair car parking charges at Cornwall's number one hospital.
Mrs Teverson, who has run a high profile campaign and petition against the current parking charges, was contacted by the Chairman Martin Watts last week.
"I am delighted the hospital management have agreed to meet with me to discuss the car parking situation," Terrye said.
"The charge of £2 for two hours is fine if you stay for two hours - but if you are only there for twenty minutes it is excessive and if you are there two hours and five minutes you end up having to pay for four hours parking!"
Mrs Teverson took her campaign to the streets of Truro last week, collecting signatures on Lemon Quay.
She added: "I have been campaigning for a fairer way of paying based on how long you use the car park for. The public are really behind this campaign. I have received letters from people who time and time again have the same experiences. They have been two minutes late and find themselves paying £2 for two minutes of parking."
"Hundreds of people have signed my petition so far which proves the strength of public opinion - I just hope the hospital management will listen and we can work together to find a fairer way of charging for parking."
The meeting with Mr Watts, Peter Collough (Acting Chief Executive) and David Hastings (Director of Estates and Facilities) is expected to take place at the end of August.
